Aker Solutions Hydropower AS is dedicated to deliver state-of-the-art technology for the hydropower industry. Based on a 170 year history, the company is at the forefront in excitation, turbine governing and turbine technology for Pelton, Francis and Pump-turbines. Aker Solutions Hydropower portfolio cover water-to-wire new power plants, rehabilitation, upgrades as well as service and spare parts. The company is based in Norway but deliver waterpower products worldwide.
Bredesen Consulting
Bredesen Consulting, a Norwegian sole proprietary company, was established in 2012. This is a specialised consulting company within energy market design, policy, regulation, trading, and software. It is mainly based on the work of Hans-Arild Bredesen´s 30 years of experience in the power market sector. Bredesen Consulting has both local European experience in addition to extensive experience from international projects outside of Europe gaining experience from other parts of the international power market development stretching from Japan via India and the Gulf region to Southern Africa. Our work is mainly focused on implementing markets and strategies and following them through to operations and with hands-on experience from many markets around the world, we can provide solutions that has proven to be working in practice.
Hans-Arild is also currently guest lecturer at Wits Business School in South Africa where he is lecturing the course ‘Power Market Organisation, Restructuring and Transformation’ as part of the Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Leadership in the African Energy Leadership Centre at WITS Business School.

Clean Energy Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (CEC) is Kathmandu, Nepal-based Local Consulting Firm providing complete technical Services on Renewal Energy and Infrastructure works since 2006. The Company has specialization on Small and Medium Hydropower Projects (1-100MW) for Survey, Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Detailed Design, Construction Supervision, and Due-Diligence/Appraisal Studies, etc covering a complete range of works from Concepts to Commissioning and successfully completed more than 40 Projects now on operation with total service portfolio more than 1200 MW.
Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA)
The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) is a Statutory Body established in the year 2000, in accordance with the Electricity Act, Chapter 157 of the Laws of Uganda. ERA is charged with the Regulation of Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Sale, Export, and Import of Electrical Energy in Uganda.
For Five (5) Consecutive Times (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), ERA has been Recognized as the Best Regulator on the Continent of Africa in the Electricity Regulatory Index studies by the African Development Bank.
Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Ltd
Following Government of Nepal’s decision, Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Ltd. (HIDCL) was formally established on 11 July 2011. Engaged in a mission to mobilize funds from domestic and international resource base to cater to the needs of investments in middle to mega hydroelectricity generation, transmission and distribution projects, offering timely and quality services to our customers and partners with integrity and professionalism, and creating value to our shareholders, HIDCL envisages to become the top hydropower investment company of the country.
Institute for Water Resources Planning (IWRP)
Established in 1961, the Institute for Water Resources Planning (IWRP) operates under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) as a leading governmental research and policy institution dedicated to the comprehensive study and management of water resource systems in Vietnam. The mission of IWRP is to support the sustainable management of Vietnam’s water resources by promoting efficient use and ensuring the protection of water-related ecosystems. Recognizing the critical role of water in national development, health, and environmental sustainability, IWRP works on optimizing water management strategies across various sectors, including agriculture, energy, urban development, and water supply. Rusumo Power Company Limited
Rusumo Power Company Limited (RPCL) is a special purpose company incorporated under the laws of Rwanda and was registered with Rwanda Development Board in 2013. It also maintains a certificate of compliance in Tanzania.
RPCL is jointly and equally owned by the Governments of Burundi, Rwanda and Tanzania. RPCL has rights to develop, construct, own, and operate the 80MW Regional Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project located on the Kagera river at Rusumo border between Rwanda and Tanzania.
