Bredesen Consulting

Bredesen Consulting, a Norwegian sole proprietary company, was established in 2012.  This is a specialised consulting company within energy market design, policy, regulation, trading, and software.  It is mainly based on the work of Hans-Arild Bredesen´s 30 years of experience in the power market sector.  Bredesen Consulting has both local European experience in addition to extensive experience from international projects outside of Europe gaining experience from other parts of the international power market development stretching from Japan via India and the Gulf region to Southern Africa.  Our work is mainly focused on implementing markets and strategies and following them through to operations and with hands-on experience from many markets around the world, we can provide solutions that has proven to be working in practice.

Hans-Arild is also currently guest lecturer at Wits Business School in South Africa where he is lecturing the course ‘Power Market Organisation, Restructuring and Transformation’ as part of the Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Leadership in the African Energy Leadership Centre at WITS Business School.
