Nepal 3 – 8. November 2022
This workshop offers you, within the framework of lectures, laboratory experiments and field excursions, better insight in planning and design of headworks for the mitigation of sediment induced problems. Senior professionals involved with headworks design and sediment handling will share their experiences through lectures, field visits and laboratory demonstrations.
The workshop will start on Thursday, 03 November and end on Tuesday 08 November 2022 in Kathmandu. Participants are expected to arrive in Kathmandu on Wednesday 02 November and depart from Kathmandu on Wednesday 09 November 2022.
The main target group is experienced professionals involved in hydropower planning, design and operation from the Himalayan Region as well as other regions with similar river characteristics. Candidates should have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or have an equivalent background in the fundamental engineering aspects of hydropower systems, and have relevant job experience.
The number of workshop participants will be limited to 25. Application deadline has now been extended to 15 September 2022.
