The large-scale introduction of intermittent renewable energy sources, connected into the electricity grid through power converters, changes the dynamics of said grid and how it must be planned and operated.
Furthermore, while the demand for electricity but also local electricity production rises in most regions, both the danger of conflict regarding land use and the need for new technical solution increases.
ICH is happy to be able to introduce this new course to our partners in Latin America and thereby contribute to that they have the necessary competence to meet these new challenges.
The course will be conducted in Spanish and English with simultaneous translation.
The students should after the course:
- understand how modern transmission-/ distribution-grids work and operate
- know the actors and their role in the power sector.
- know the environmental and social implications of transmission-/distribution grids.
- understand the importance of the grid for the electricity market
The deadline for application is 1st November 2022. You can apply here.
