Hydropower Challenges and Financial Risk – IPPAN – Nepal

The course is designed to investigate the various facets of risks in hydropower
development, and this programme should develop the participants’ ability to
identify, qualify, evaluate and design measurements to monitor and manage
the different risks on a strategic level, thereby enable the capacity to implement
methodologies in their own socio-cultural context.
The planning process of a project, with emphasis on the economic and financial
considerations and risk analyses will be elaborated, as well as the various insurance
options that may be implemented to manage these risks.
