Nepal training on gender and hydropower III

by | Feb 14, 2023 | Asia

NEPAL- Gender and Hydropower III-  April 2-5, 2023
Application deadline  March, 17, 2023.

This third edition of the Gender and Hydropower training targets industry professionals working in Nepal’s hydropower sector to adopt and apply practical, gender-smart approaches at workplaces and projects.

Organized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the International Center for Hydropower (ICH), this three- and half-day training will explore gender’s role in global emerging trends, including its intersection with climate, innovations like sustainable bonds, stakeholder engagement and grievance redress mechanisms, contractor management, and respectful workplace policies and practices.

This training will showcase international examples and case studies from Nepal and the region, including from the IFC-led Powered by Women initiative that is helping companies in Nepal cut gender gaps by building respectful workplaces, engaging with women community stakeholders, and encouraging women in leadership and in non-traditional roles. Candidates are expected to be currently engaged in or benefit from direct knowledge of gender, for example – HR managers, E&S specialists, CEOs, COOs, government officials, and consultants. Participants must attend all training days and receive a certificate only if they complete all sessions. The number of participants will be limited to 30.  Apply for ICH Course
